Forstner Mill

Triple mill capacity through new grinding.

The Forstner Mill, located in St. Marien in Upper Austria, is one of the important business partners in the region, combining agriculture with bakery and consumer.

To meet the constantly growing quality demands of customers, ongoing investments in the facility are essential. In 2013, the mill was completely rebuilt and the automation of the milling process was further expanded.

Guaranteed consistent high quality

ESA is a long-standing partner of the traditional company and knows the high demands and the obligation of the miller to always deliver consistent quality flour. The automation integrated into the new mill was implemented together, taking into account all new insights and hygiene standards. The new grinding with modern flour final control creates the highest, consistent quality. Over 16 passages, the grain is processed gently into the respective high-quality flours.

Before the products leave the mill, they undergo quality final control to guarantee completely pure and high-quality flours. All these processes can be controlled, monitored, and traced on-site with the ESA software solution highly flexibly and easily.

Transparency, flexibility and traceability: Latest technology in the production process

The ESAweight process control system in use can be precisely adapted to the requirements of the production process due to its modular design. The central base module ESAweight Manager allows for easy management of all data and control of the entire system. Control of all important parameters is possible through easy operation, for example on the touchscreen, on site.

All available modules, from receiving to loading, can be combined in variable arrangements and also in any number, for example multiple production lines or multiple receiving and loading lanes. ESAweight also enables efficient and seamless traceability (in accordance with EU Regulation 178/2002) of all product flows within the entire production process.
