Forstner Mill

Triple mill capacity  thanks to new grinding system

Forstner Mill, based in St. Marien in Upper Austria, is one of the most important business partners in the region and connects agriculture with bakeries and consumers.

In order to meet the constantly growing quality demands of customers, ongoing investment in the plant is essential. In 2013, the mill was rebuilt from scratch and the automation of the milling process was further expanded.

Consistent high quality guaranteed

ESA has been a partner of the traditional company for many years and knows the high demands and the obligation of the miller to deliver high quality flour on a consistent basis. The automation integrated into the new mill was implemented jointly, taking into account all the latest findings and hygiene standards. The new grinding system with modern final flour inspection always ensures the highest quality. The grain is gently processed into the respective high-quality flours via 16 passages.

Before the products leave the mill, they are subjected to a final quality check to guarantee completely pure and high-quality flours. All of these processes can be controlled, monitored and traced on site in a highly flexible and simple manner using the ESA software solution.

Transparency, flexibility and traceability: the latest technology in the production process

The ESAweight process control system in use can be adapted precisely to the requirements of the production process thanks to its modular structure. The central base module ESAweight Manager enables easy management of all data and control of the entire system. All important parameters can be controlled on site via simple operation, for example on a touchscreen.

All available modules, from receiving to loading, can be combined in variable arrangements and also in any number, for example several production lines or several receiving and loading lanes. ESAweight also enables efficient and seamless traceability (in accordance with EU Regulation 178/2002) of all product flows within the entire production process.
